UPRtek Announces End-of-Life (EOL) for the MK350D Handheld Spectrometer
A Legacy of Reliability: Transitioning to the next generation of handheld measurement technology
UPRtek today announces the official End-of-Life (EOL) for the MK350D Handheld Spectrometer, effective March 2026. After more than a decade of serving the lighting industry, the MK350D will begin its transition into a legacy phase as UPRtek focuses on the development of its next generation.
The MK350D has been a pivotal part of UPRtek’s handheld spectrometer lineup for many years. Known for its ultra-lightweight design and integrated flicker measurement, it has supported thousands of users in achieving precise on-site spectral analysis for over 10 years.
Service and Support Commitment
To honor the long-standing support of MK350D owners, UPRtek will continue to provide professional technical support and maintenance for the next five years:
- Official EOL Date: March 2026
- End-of-Service (EOS): March 2031
During this five-year window, UPRtek remains committed to offering calibration and repair services, contingent upon the availability of legacy components.
The Next Generation and Alternatives
While we conclude the production of the MK350D, UPRtek continues to offer a robust selection of handheld spectrometers. A new-generation compact MK350D is currently in development and is expected to be released later this year, bringing modernized sensor technology to our compact handheld series.
Until the release of the new model, we recommend the following options for your measurement needs:
