LED Commerce – Leveling the playing field
The world of LED commerce is no sure thing. Inconsistency is inherent in our industry because of the variations in mass production of LED lights and related products.
Before, all you could do was rely on spec sheets and brochures, when evaluating lighting products at remote locations; showrooms, offices, exhibitions. You could bring a simple RGB Colorimeter. But as we know, a 3-color light meter is not appropriate when measuring an entire color spectrum, and inaccurate measurements are easily challenged.
The gold-standard for precision light measurement is the integrating sphere, but it’s usually confined in laboratories and research departments, out-of-reach and not very practical for obvious reasons.
